November 15 - Applications close for the first round of Gap Year scholarship, available to New Zealand school
leavers.
DairyNZ has launched the programme in partnership with the Communicating for Agriculture Education
Programme. The aim is to provide support for school leavers looking for experience overseas before their tertiary
studies. The successful applicants will receive $5750 as well as expert assistance with overseas placement in
an overseas agricultural programme, and travel arrangements. They will live and work on a host farm, with an
approved host normally in the US, Canada or Australia. Up to three scholarships will be available.
