Here’s to you, Trish
On the Dairy Exporter we love to meet our
readers and we like to work closely with our advertisers. So March 12 was a
special night, when the winners of the competition organised with Alltech –
which featured in the March issue – joined us for dinner at the Hilton Hotel in
Auckland.
Maren and
Max Newport, vets from Kerikeri, were able to farewell dairy nutritionist Trish
Lewis as she prepared to sail the Fitzroy Yachts Solo Tasman Challenge from New
Plymouth to Mooloolaba (Dairy Exporter,
March, page 85). And they also took the opportunity to pick up a few
necessities for their own craft at the Auckland International Boat Show the
next day.
When
Alltech’s general manager, Matthew Smith, made the first toast of the evening –
to dreams – he spoke for us all.
Trish, we
look forward to your email updates and safe landfall in Australia, especially
after a solo celebration of your birthday on April 10. Our thanks to Alltech
and our congratulations again to Maren and Max.
And to all
our other readers – we just wish you could have been there as well.
